9 October 2026
Version 2.0.46 came out on 8 October with twenty-eight changes. Six of them name Rainbow Cash outright — funding an account with real money. Six more do not name Cash but belong to it all the same: KYC, passkeys, VPN detection, state-by-state availability.
Where it works. Cash is available to US-based customers only — and not in New York or California — with a Visa card. That is the wording in the app itself. Outside the US there is no such section at all: it offers no country to choose.
Three items on that list are worth reading together: VPN detection, state-by-state availability and the remote halt on sign-ups. That is not what "we added card funding" looks like. That is a financial service obliged to know which jurisdiction its customer is in, and able to shut down in a single state.
What is more, the app pulls the list of unavailable states from the server rather than storing it internally. So the list can be changed without an app-store update — the same day, if needed.
Four of the changes we have covered before: the side drawer prototype, the feature flags for Solana, the migration of tests from Jest to Vitest, and the fixes for nested button presses on Android together with Skia rendering.
The rest is internal. Animated numbers and their width on Android, haptic feedback and interruptible shakes on the keypad, a separate layer for displaying price changes, analytics now going straight to PostHog, and three native libraries bumped.
