Whether a project is alive shows not in roadmap promises but in three things: whether the code changes, whether the team speaks, and whether anyone else speaks about it. Everything below is pulled by our server straight from GitHub, Farcaster and the App Store and refreshed every fifteen minutes. We do not pick by mood: the feed runs as it is, unhappy reviews included.
Updated …
Rainbow's repositories are open, and every change in them is public. There are two kinds of entries here: a release — a version that made it to the app store — and a change — a merged pull request. We leave out discussions and review comments: there are four times as many of them and they tell you nothing about the product.
Source: github.com/rainbow-me. Titles appear as the developers wrote them, in their own jargon; we do not rewrite them, so that you can find the same line in the repository.
The official Farcaster account. Support replies are stripped out of the feed — half the account consists of "are you on a VPN?", and announcements drowned in it.
Source: the @rainbow account, fid 20919. The former rainbowdotme account was closed in October 2023 with its own farewell post — if you came across a link to it, that link is out of date.
A search for RNBW mentions by outside authors. Read it as a slice of conversation, not as the market's opinion: the results include bots and token lists where RNBW is one line among ten others. Next to each post is the author's follower count, so you can tell a person from an account created last week.
Source: Farcaster search for "$RNBW" and "RNBW token". We remove nothing from the results except Rainbow's own posts — those are in the section above.
App reviews are the one place where ordinary users speak rather than token holders. We show recent ones, in the order Apple returns them, with no filtering by star rating.
Source: Apple's public review feed for the Rainbow — Ethereum Wallet app, US storefront. Apple serves other storefronts separately, and in most of them there are only a handful of reviews.
The project's loudest venue — and the only one where reading became paid. There is no longer a free way to fetch the posts by machine, and retelling them by hand would mean passing our selection off as a feed. The account opens directly: @rainbowdotme.
Google has no open review feed: the numbers would have to be scraped out of the page markup, and a source like that breaks on the first redesign and then quietly starts lying. The app's page: me.rainbow.
CoinGecko used to return these counters in its community_data field — for RNBW it is now empty. We will not put a number there that someone once read off a screen: in a month it would be false while still looking live.
We do not label posts as "positive" or "negative". A label like that looks like a measurement, but it is really the opinion of whoever wrote the labelling rule.
Everything on this page sits in a single file, /api/pulse.json — no key, open CORS. The fields github, fc.own, fc.mentions and store.reviews match the sections above. The rest of the endpoints are described on the API page.
