On 3 October at 21:05 UTC, 1,138,394 RNBW left the pool. The previous record was 460,126 RNBW on 23 August, so this exit is more than twice the size. It took 4.1% of the entire pool out.
On exit the contract withholds 10% of the position. Here that is 113,839 RNBW, and they stayed in the pool.
How RNBW staking works. The fee withheld on exits is the pool's only income. It grows from nowhere else. You can verify this in the contract itself: undistributedFees increases in exactly one place — line 667, inside the unstake function.
What is withheld is not paid out at once. It goes into undistributed fees and is credited evenly to the remaining stakers over exactly seven days.
The elevated rate will hold for seven days, until everything withheld has been distributed.
Hence a counterintuitive consequence. The yield on RNBW staking depends not on how many people joined, but on how many left. Inflows push it down: the same stream of coins is split across a larger pool. Outflows push it up, and twice over: the pool shrinks, and a tenth of whoever left is added to it.
Over the whole history, 1,327,312 RNBW has been collected this way from 1,251 exits.
